A Fresh dusting of morning snow within the rural landscape close to my home.

"This is a tree line situated parallel to a country lane I regularly Run down for exercise. One early Moring in February 2021 During the 3rd National "Lockdown" and arctic air cold snap! my children and I woke up to a fresh snowfall and took the opportunity for a little break from the home-schooling to set off for an early morning winter walk. It was crisp and fresh and literally a breath of fresh air, so much so it inspired this piece".

The painting was created using acrylic paint for the underpainting on a Red ground. I then over painted with Oils in subtle and impasto layers.
