Panda - Giant
16 x 20 Inch (30 x 40 CM) 2021
Acrylic on stretched canvas presented in a bespoke natural wood tray frame.
Habitat: south west China
Habitat loss due to Deforestation for infrastructure development
Pandas live mainly in temperate forests high in the mountains of southwest China, where they subsist almost entirely on bamboo. The biological diversity of the panda’s habitat is unparalleled in the temperate world and rivals that of tropical ecosystems, making the giant panda an excellent example of an umbrella species conferring protection on many other species where pandas live
Classified as Venerable under the IUCN Red List for Threatened Species.
