Habitat: Asian continent
Habitat loss and fragmentation
Confined to a smaller population as a result of habitat loss this creates a higher risk of becoming wiped out due to natural disasters, disease and inbreeding. Poaching still remains a huge threat. Elephants feed on a variety of plants and deposit seeds wherever they go, contributing to a healthy forest ecosystem.
The Sumatran elephant is the most at risk of all the Asiatic elephants.
Classified as Critically Endangered under the IUCN Red list for Threatened species.

"It Is colour which seduces me, how they harmonise and contrast. Nature and the natural world around me is my muse. I express its beauty using fluid lines, expressive forms and sumptuous colours."
